Mitchell & Ness was born in 1904, when the ex wrestler Frank P. Mitchell partnered with the golfer Charles M. Ness to open a small sporting goods store in Philadelphia. With roots in sporting goods and equipment, the brand later expanded into vintage jerseys when it was discovered that thousands of yards of wool flannel were discarded each month. The brand continues to produce official jerseys, as well as NBA, NFL, NHI, NCAA & NFL licensed headwear.
