Tsubota Pearl was founded in 1952 and is a Tokyo-based company producing metal and leatherwork. The Japanese company is known for its mechanical lighters and other high-quality smoking accessories, as well as lifestyle products. The traditional label has been producing in Japan for almost 70 years and strives for constant innovation in the areas of design and function without forgetting its traditional values. The founder Hiroshi Tsubota combined his surname with the addition of Pearl, as the world's first cultured pearl was invented in Japan. The success story began in 1953 with the VIOLET chrome-plated lighters and a matching pressed acrylic cigarette case.
